Tech Fluency Launchpad Overview

A 6-week live cohort designed to equip junior developers and recent grads with the communication skills, async workflows, and remote collaboration practices needed to excel on global teams.

  • Week 1 – Remote Culture & Tooling

    Topics: Async vs. sync workflows; Slack, GitHub Flow & Trello; time-zone strategies.
    Deliverables: Write an “async standup” update; open a PR & request review; reflection journal.

  • Week 2 – Professional English for Devs

    Topics: Slack/email etiquette; tech vocabulary ("blocking," "merge conflict"); tone & clarity.
    Deliverables: Rewrite informal Slack threads; draft a handoff note; terminology quiz.

  • Week 3 – Giving & Receiving Feedback

    Topics: SBI & Sandwich feedback models; live code-review role-plays; conflict resolution.
    Deliverables: Peer review comments on partner code; draft a conflict-resolution message; reflective write-up.

  • Week 4 – Resume & Personal Brand

    Topics: English résumé best practices; STAR storytelling; crafting video bio.
    Deliverables: Submit résumé draft for peer review; record a 60-sec video bio; update GitHub README.

  • Week 5 – Mock Interviews & Standups

    Topics: Common remote-role Q&A; solo mock interview; standup facilitation.
    Deliverables: 1:1 mock interview & self-reflection; lead an async standup; best/worst answer quiz.

  • Week 6 – Capstone Project & Presentation

    Topics: Team collaboration case study; async documentation; live demo skills.
    Deliverables: Written async project report; 3-min live demo + Q&A; final certification test (80%+).

Ongoing Support & Community

Between weeks and beyond graduation, you’ll have:

  • Weekly Office Hours: 2 hours with TAs & instructors for targeted practice and Q&A.
  • 24/7 Slack Community: Peer chat, #questions & #feedback channels, and mentor pods.
  • Mentor Pods: Small alumni-led groups for guided peer support and networking.
